LPG Cylinder Price Drop:In a big New Year gift to consumers, the government has reduced LPG prices. The prices of LPG cylinders have been slashed across several cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. The 19 kg commercial gas cylinder is now cheaper by Rs 14.50.
Meanwhile, there has been no change in the price of the 14 kg domestic cooking gas cylinder.

Price changes across different cities:
In Delhi, the price of the 19 kg commercial cylinder is now Rs 1804, down from Rs 1818.50 on December 1, 2024, a reduction of Rs 14.50.
In Mumbai, the price of the 19 kg cylinder has been reduced from Rs 1771 to Rs 1756.
In Kolkata, the price of the 19 kg LPG cylinder has dropped from Rs 1980.50 to Rs 1966, a decrease of Rs 14.50.
In Patna, the price of the cylinder has been reduced from Rs 2072.5 to Rs 2057.
In Chennai, the price of the 19 kg cylinder is now Rs 1966, down from Rs 1980.50 in December.
Price hikes in December: In December, LPG cylinder prices had increased. Government oil companies had raised the prices of commercial LPG cylinders. According to Indian Oil, the price of the 19 kg LPG cylinder had increased by Rs 16.50. Prior to that, there had been a price hike in November as well. Notably, government oil companies set LPG cylinder prices on the first day of every month.
