LPG Price Cut: Bringing major relief to commercial consumers, the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 51.50. This price cut comes as part of the monthly revision by Oil Marketing Companies. The new rates will come into effect from September 1. However, the price of a 14 kg domestic LPG gas cylinder remains unchanged.

Commercial LPG Rates In Delhi

Starting September 1, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will be reduced to Rs 1,580 in Delhi, Economic Times reported. The rates of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remain unchanged in September.

Commercial LPG Rate Fluctuations Time To Time

As part of the monthly revision in rates of LPG gas cylinders, the OMCs reduced the rates of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 33.50, effective August 1. Earlier on July 1, the price of the commercial LPG cylinders was reduced by Rs 58.50.

Earlier in June, the OMCs slashed the price of commercial cylinders by Rs 24, bringing the rate to Rs 1,723.50. In April, the price stood at Rs 1,762. March saw a slight Rs 7 increase in the rates, while February saw a slight Rs 7 reduction in the rates of commercial cylinders.

Approximately 90 per cent of India’s total LPG is used in household cooking. The remaining 10 per cent goes to the commercial, industrial and automotive sector, Economic Times reported. Over the last decade, domestic LPG connections have doubled to around 33 crore by April 2025. However, the prices of domestic LPG gas cylinders remain the same, whereas the commercial rates keep changing every month.
