According to a Times Of India report, around 2 AM, Lallu and Dheeraj entered the house and struck Bhaiyalal with an iron rod. After he collapsed, the accused wrapped the body in a blanket and sack, tied it with sarees and ropes and dumped it in the well located behind the house.

The next morning, Bhaiyalal’s second wife, Guddi Bai, noticed the body floating in the water and alerted the police. A post-mortem examination later confirmed that he died due to severe head injuries.

The report cited Superintendent of Police Motiur Rahman as stating that, Bhaiyalal had been married three times. After his first wife left, he married Guddi. Since they had no children, he later married Guddi’s younger sister Munni, who bore him two children.
