Maharashtra police have arrested a 22-year-old for allegedly exploiting minors and young adults in the Nandurbar area. The accused, since 2022, have been blackmailing teens and young adults by threatening them to share their obscene photos and videos on social media, police said. The accused identified Chetan Prakash Koli, a resident of Raisinghpura.
What did the cops say?
Superintendent of Police Ashwini Sanap said that more than 600 pornographic videos were recovered from the accused's mobile phone. He said that after identifying the victims from the videos found on the device, the police have begun recording their statements.
The police officials allegedly received a tip-off that a man was blackmailing minors by luring them with money. When the accused’s mobile phone was checked, several obscene videos and photographs were found in it. The forensic team seized his mobile phone, completed the necessary investigation and sent it for further investigation. “Based on those videos and photographs, victims will be contacted, and their statements will be recorded,” Sanap said.

The 22-year-old man was arrested on Saturday and produced before the court, which remanded him to police custody till August 12. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and Child Protection Law in the matter.
