A Mexican street food vendor who boldly entered the centre of Kolkata's spicy street food market and got blown away by the heat of Indian cuisine has gone viral on the internet. The viral hit started when an Instagrammer brought a street food seller from Mexico to India and challenged him to try some of the country's most famous spicy foods in exchange for a car.
The aim was to discover if Mexican cuisine, famed for its strong tastes, could withstand the heat of true Indian spices.
The quest began in Kolkata, when the seller, famed for his resilience in the face of Mexican chilies, met his first challenger: the legendary 'Lalaji Ki Kachori'.
When it was served by one of Kolkata's most famous street food experts, the spicy kachori was a deadly adversary. The vendor's face twisted, tears flowed down his cheeks, goosebumps appeared on his hands, and he started to sweat a lot as he fought with the intense spice after tasting.
