Naidunia Correspondent, Betul | A constable in Madhya Pradesh Police was assaulted by two youth in Kamath village, Betul. The video of the fight went viral on social media. On June 13, two youngsters brutally attacked a Dial 112 constable who had arrived to respond to a report of a fight between a husband and wife.

The incident gained attention after a video of the incident emerged on the internet on Tuesday. The video clearly shows the youth beating the constable. One of the youth also attacked the constable with a large stone, but the constable narrowly escaped.

Case Registered Against Four Persons

Multai Police Station in-charge Narendra Singh Parihar said on June 13, Dinesh Sahu, a resident of Kamath, informed Dial 112 that Pawan Bele was beating his wife. Upon this, Dial 112 arrived at the scene. Constables Satyendra Pal and Vivek Panwar intervened in the fight between the couple. The situation escalated, and the angry youth and his companion began assaulting the constable. The station in-charge said a case has been registered against four people, including Pawan Bele, based on Dinesh Sahu's complaint.

Constable Does Not Want To File A Case

Station in-charge Parihar said when the constable was questioned about the incident, he did not disclose the severity of the incident and refused to file a complaint. He stated that only after watching the video on Tuesday did he understand the seriousness of the matter.

The video shows the young man asking the constable why he raised his hand in the first place. This suggests that the constable assaulted the young man while trying to intervene. Subsequently, they assaulted the constable. SDOP SK Singh said a case of assault has been registered against four people and an investigation has been initiated.
