Rajasthan News: In Alwar district of Rajasthan, police recovered the body of a man stuffed inside a blue plastic drum on the terrace of a rented house. The discovery was made in Kishangarhbas area of Khairthal-Tijara after the house owner, Mithlesh, reported a strong smell from the rooftop.

Mithlesh, who also lost contact with her own son, said the tenants living in her house often had disputes. “There was a couple with three children staying here. The wife frequently complained about her husband’s drinking. When I went upstairs, I sensed a foul smell and informed the police. They found a body. Since then, my son is also missing. I believe he may have gone along with the woman and her children,” she told reporters.

The deceased has been identified as Hansram, also known as Suraj, a native of Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Police said he had been staying in the rented rooftop room for about six weeks with his wife Sunita and their three children. Hansram was employed at a brick kiln in the area.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajendra Singh Nirwan said the body carried a deep cut on the throat, likely from a sharp weapon. Salt was also found on the body, which police believe was used to hasten decomposition.
