PM Modi Oath: Narendra Damodardas Modi, the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), was sworn in as the Prime Minister of India for a third straight term by President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday, June 9 2024, at 7:15 pm at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. Along with the Prime Minister, several NDA MPs are expected to take oath as cabinet ministers and Ministers of state. Among the important names who will be sworn in as ministers are: Bharatiya Janata Party's Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, former party head JP Nadda, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Nirmala Sitharaman, S Jaishankar, Piyush Goyal, Ravneet Singh Bittu, G Kishan Reddy, and K Annamalai.

The NDA alliance partners were also given cabinet berths in the Ministry of Modi 3.0. Janata Dal United's Ram Nath Thakur and Lalan Singh, JDS's HD Kumaraswamy, TDP's Ram Mohan Naidu and Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Apna Dal's Anupriya Patel were among the key members of parliament sworn in as ministers in the NDA's ministry.

The grand swearing-in ceremony witnessed the presence of hundreds of guests, including heads of state, political leaders, sanitation workers, and beneficiaries of central schemes. Among the heads of state who graced the occasion during the grand ceremony were the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Seychelles Vice-President Ahmed Afif, and Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth.

Several Bollywood celebrities were also spotted at the swearing-in ceremony. "12th Fail" star Vikrant Massey and "Dunki" filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani were both seen at Rashtrapati Bhavan, as was actor Akshay Kumar. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani were also present for the oath-taking ceremony.
