The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) announced plans to transform Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station into a vibrant public space, which will showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and history with theme-based paintings. Though there are several artworks at the station, the officials will enrich it further to keep the passengers connected to Indian culture while giving them an experience of modern rail transport. Preparations have started, and the authorities are in search of an agency to take up the work.
Aannd Vihar Namo Bharat Station To Get A New Look
The NCRTC officials said that India is rich in culture, and efforts will be made to keep them connected with it. In a bid to enrich it further, the officials have planned to transform it with theme-based paintings, Jagran.com reported. The Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station will include paintings related to India’s spiritual and cultural traditions, like Surya Namaskar, yoga postures, classic dance and etc.
The Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station serves as a vital link in connecting various transit options, including the Inter-State and City Bus Stands in Delhi, the UPSRTC bus stand at Kaushambi, Anand Vihar railway station, and a metro station serving the pink and blue lines. This station stands as the first integrated multi-modal transport point in the national city.
The Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station is the only underground station on the Delhi-Meerut RRTS line. It is one of the key stations on the stretch and is designed to accommodate high footfall.
