CJP Protest Updates: Ahead of the Cockroach Janata Party's protest, the Railways has reportedly ordered the cancellation of all the mail and express trains to New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations between 4 am and 2 pm on October 10, citing possibility of heavy traffic congestion near these stations. While the cancellations have been announced, the authorities have not confirmed whether the decision was taken due to the demonstrations.
Trains To New Delhi, Nizamuddin Cancelled
As per a railway order issued earlier on October 9, trains scheduled to arrive at these stations on Saturday between 4 am and 2 pm will remain cancelled at their source stations, reported Times of India. The passengers travelling to the capital city have been advised to stay updated and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconveniences. In a post on X, railways confirmed the cancellation of Train number 22221 CSMT-HAZRAT NIZAMUDDIN JN Rajdhani Express.
CJP's Protest At Jantar Mantar
The CJP, under the leadership of Abhijeet Dipke, has announced a large-scale protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar against the alleged poll rigging in the assembly polls. The pressure group has also demanded resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, adding that demonstrations will continue until his ouster.
Ahead of the protest, anticipating a large crowd, the Delhi police has deployed additional personnel at the sensitive areas of the city to maintain law and order. In a post on X, Dipke alleged that thousands of people have been detained ahead of the demonstration, adding that march will happen despite all the actions.

"Thousands of youngsters have been detained across country by the BJP Govt ahead of our October 10 protest. This intimidation is not going to work, Modi. The youth of this country are no longer scared of you. I'll be landing in Delhi tomorrow and will march to Jantar Mantar, come what may," the CJP founder said.
