Monsoon activity remains active in Madhya Pradesh, with several districts receiving rain on Saturday under the influence of a low-pressure area over the southwestern parts of the state. The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph in 14 districts over the next 24 hours. No major change in weather conditions is expected across the state over the next five days.
According to the Meteorological Centre, a low-pressure area previously present over North Vidarbha and adjoining Madhya Pradesh is now located over southwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining North Vidarbha. Its associated cyclonic circulation is extending up to 7.6 km from the mean sea level.
This system is anticipated to move towards the west-northwest in the next 24 hours towards southeast Rajasthan and adjoining North Gujarat.

Rainfall Across Many Districts
The Meteorological Centre stated that parts of Madhya Pradesh received good rainfall in the 24 hours up to 8:30 am on Sunday. Betul recorded 61.8 mm of rainfall, followed by Dhar with 60.4 mm and Balaghat with 41.2 mm.
Agar registered 38 mm, Ujjain 33 mm, Indore 30.7 mm, Dewas 28 mm, Seoni 25 mm, Sehore 14 mm, Bhopal 13.4 mm, Katni and Shajapur 12 mm each, and Jhabua 11.2 mm.
Most parts of the Indore, Ujjain, and Shahdol divisions, many parts of the Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Rewa, and Jabalpur divisions, and some areas of the Gwalior and Sagar divisions received rainfall. Isolated rainfall occurred in the Chambal division.
Heavy Rain Warning For 14 Districts
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, and Mandsaur within the next 24 hours. Isolated heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds of up to 30-40 kmph is also expected in these districts. These areas may record 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rainfall.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds of up to 30-40 kmph are likely over Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Indore, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Satna, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narmadapuram, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Maihar, and Pandhurna.
Rain Likely In Many Districts
Rain and thundershowers are predicted at many places in Sehore, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Chhindwara and Pandhurna during the next 24 hours. Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam and Ujjain also have a chance of rainfall at several places. Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Rajgarh, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Sheopur, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur and Sagar might also experience rain in some locations.
Isolated rainfall is possible in Datia, Bhind, Morena, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Niwari and Maihar.
The Meteorological Department expects no major changes in the prevailing weather conditions across Madhya Pradesh over the next five days, with rainfall likely to continue over the western and southern regions due to the westward movement of the low-pressure system.
