New Delhi: In a disturbing incident, a Pakistani staffer at the country's High Commission in New Delhi was accused of molestation by an Indian domestic help. The staffer, who worked as a cook at Pakistan's diplomatic mission in India, allegedly abused the house help who also works at the establishment, Dainik Jagran reported on Saturday.
Based on her complaint, a case has been registered against the accused at Tilak Marg police station. Minhaj Hussain, a Pakistani national, worked as a cook for Saad Ahmed Warraich, the in-charge of the Pakistani High Commission. The victim, an Indian woman who lost her husband some time ago, worked as a domestic helper there.
The domestic help accused Minhaj Hussain of molestation in the High Commission. The accused had come to India from Pakistan earlier this February. At the time of the incident, the woman was residing in the servant quarters of the High Commission.
She lodged a complaint with the police on June 28. It is alleged that after the case was registered, the accused was sent back to Pakistan. Following the filing of the case, the woman was dismissed from her job on June 30. The police have refrained from commenting on the matter so far.
