Patna-Gorahpur Vande Bharat: In a big development for travellers between Patna and Gorakhpur, the Indian Railways is all set to run a Vande Bharat train between these two key cities of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar from June 20. The long-awaited train will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Patliputra Junction, as per a report by Jagran.com.
On the instructions of the Railway Board, preparations to run this train regularly from Patliputra have intensified. The rake of this train has reached Gorakhpur railway yard, from where it will be used for trial within the next one to two days. Then, the regular operation of the Vande Bharat train will be started.
Patna-Gorahpur Vande Bharat: Schedule
The train will run for six days, except Saturdays. According to the proposed schedule of the train, Vande Bharat will depart from Gorakhpur at 6:30 am and reach Patliputra Junction at 1:30 pm. On the return journey, the train will depart from Patliputra at 2:25 pm and reach Gorakhpur at 9:35 pm.
The semi-high-speed train will run at a speed of nearly 160 kmph and take 7 hours to reach the final destination on both up and down routes.
Patna-Gorahpur Vande Bharat: Stoppages
The Patna-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express will make five stoppages. Starting from Patliputra, the train will go to Gorakhpur via Muzaffarpur, Motihari, Bettiah, Narkatiaganj, and Kaptanganj.
The final schedule is expected to be released by Tuesday. The train will be repaired in the Gorakhpur workshop on Saturdays. The Patna-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express will have one executive and seven second-class coaches.

As per reports, the train was initially planned for the Prayagraj route but was rerouted to the East Central Railway route between Patliputra and Gorakhpur. A new 16-coach rack has arrived, and the train is being prepared in the Gorakhpur yard. A trial run is planned for this week.
