Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the United States on Saturday for a three-day official visit and is currently engaged in bilateral talks with US President Joe Biden. Following this, they will participate in the strategic Quad summit later today. On the third day of his visit, PM Modi is set to attend the 'Summit of the Future' at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During their meeting at Biden’s residence in Wilmington, Delaware, the two leaders will discuss new ways to enhance the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan noted that the ongoing war and Modi’s recent visit to Ukraine are expected to be key topics in the bilateral discussions.
PM Modi will address a gathering of the Indian community on September 22. He will also engage with CEOs of major US-based companies to promote greater collaboration between the two nations in advanced fields such as AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology. Additionally, he will interact with thought leaders and other stakeholders involved in the India-US bilateral relationship.
President Biden has chosen his hometown of Wilmington, located about 170 kilometres from Washington, to host the farewell summit for Quad leaders.
