A horrific road accident occurred in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, on Tuesday morning. Four people lost their lives after a car rammed into a scooter from behind on the Jalandhar-Pathankot National Highway near Mukerian, causing the scooter to crash into a stationary truck.

Details Of The Incident

The accident took place near Ram Nagar Colony. According to the police, all four individuals riding the scooter died on the spot, while the car driver sustained minor injuries. The identities of the deceased have not yet been established.

Authorities stated that local residents apprehended the car driver, a resident of Mukerian and handed him over to the police. The bodies have been sent to the mortuary for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.

Victims Were Returning From Work

According to available information, the young men killed in the accident worked at local marriage palaces and hotels. They were returning from a wedding ceremony late at night when a high-speed car struck them from behind. The impact forced their scooter into a truck parked on the side of the road, leaving the vehicle completely wrecked.

The speed of the car was reportedly so high that the vehicles involved were severely damaged. Witnesses described a scene of chaos and screaming immediately following the collision. Although locals rushed to start rescue operations, all four youths had already succumbed to their injuries.
