Rajasthan Road Accident:  Four members of a family died and five others were injured when their car collided with a truck on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur district on Sunday, according to police. They had traveled to Uttarakhand's Rishikesh for a religious event where a family member had died.

The tragedy took place when the family members were returning to Vikramgarh-Alot in the Ratlam region of Madhya Pradesh after the cremation.

"Prima facie, the car driver dozed off due to which the car rammed into a truck moving ahead near Bhagwatgarh-Trilokpura Banas river falling under Surwal police station," Deputy Superintendent of Police Hemendra Kumar said.

An ambulance transported the injured and dead bodies to a Sawai Madhopur hospital. Rajan (age 22), his sister Monica (age 24), Rekha (age 42), and her mother Dhapu Prajapat (age 60) were named as the deceased.

In another incident, a double-decker bus and a car collided early on Sunday morning, killing up to seven persons. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Sanjay Kumar Verma, discussed the event and stated that it happened on Sunday at approximately 12:30 AM when a double-decker bus headed from Raibareli to Delhi collided with a vehicle.

"A double-decker bus going from Raebareli to Delhi collided with a car at around 12:30 a.m. The car was going to Lucknow. There were 60 people on the bus, out of whom four died. 20 to 25 people who were injured have been admitted to the hospital. Three people who were there in the car have also died. The accident occurred because the car driver fell asleep while driving, " Verma said.

The official went on to say that the government is ensuring that individuals receive the finest care possible.
