Rajasthan Weather Today: The weather in Rajasthan continues to show extreme variations. As the summer heat intensifies, the Meteorological Department has issued fresh alerts for heatwaves, dust storms, and thunderstorms across various divisions of the state.

According to the latest forecast, Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions are expected to witness extremely high temperatures ranging from 44 degrees C to 47 degrees C today, 20th May. Heatwave conditions and unusually warm nights are also likely in these regions.

Udaipur and Kota divisions may experience thunderstorms, strong winds, and light to moderate rain in the afternoon. Wind speeds are expected to reach 40–50 km/h, potentially causing brief disruptions.

The weather department has predicted a rise of 1–2 degrees C in daytime temperatures over the next two days. From 21st to 23rd May, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions are likely to face maximum temperatures between 45 degrees C and 47 degrees C, with a possibility of severe heatwave conditions.

Rain and Thunderstorm Alerts for Udaipur, Kota

In Udaipur and Kota divisions, weather patterns will remain unstable over the next 4–5 days, with a strong possibility of afternoon thunderstorms, gusty winds, and scattered showers. Dust storms with wind speeds of 40–50 km/h are likely to occur frequently during this period.

Between May 22 & May 23, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Bikaner divisions may witness thunderstorms and dust storms in the afternoon hours. Winds may blow at 40–50 km/h, reducing visibility and impacting travel and outdoor activities.

Sahara Sees Highest Rainfall at 41 mm

As per the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, light to moderate rainfall was recorded in parts of Udaipur and Ajmer divisions over the past 24 hours. The highest rainfall was reported in Sahara (Bhilwara district) at 41 mm, while other regions remained mostly dry.

The highest maximum temperature in Rajasthan was recorded in Pilani at 46.4 degrees C, which is 5 degrees C above normal. Meanwhile, Churu recorded the highest minimum temperature at 32.8 degrees C, indicating intense night-time heat.

Border regions may experience dust-laden winds blowing at 30–40 km/h, adding to the discomfort.
