Gujarat Weather Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday stated that several districts of Gujarat are likely to receive light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming few days. It stated that the fresh rainfall will reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing major relief from the scorching heat. However, it clarified that the temperature is again likely to surge after May 25. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that light to heavy rainfall is expected in several districts, including Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Surat, Bharuch, and Valsad. It further stated that the Union Territories of Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli are also expected to witness rainfall till May 25, adding that rainfall is also expected in several districts of the Saurashtra region, such as Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Gir.

The IMD also clarified that while some of the regions are not expected to receive rainfall for the next two days, the weather conditions will change after May 22. It stated that multiple key regions of the state, including Rajkot, Junagadh, Jamnagar, and Ahmedabad, are likely to receive rainfall after May 22. The weather department also stated that the rainfall will provide relief to the residents of these districts.

Gujarat Weather Forecast Till May 25:

May 20: Light rain expected in Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, and Valsad

May 21: Rain likely in Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and in Daman, Dadra, and Nagar Haveli

May 22: Light to moderate rainfall expected in Kheda, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and in Daman, Dadra, and Nagar Haveli

May 23: Rain likely in Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar

May 24: Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar are expected to receive rainfall

May 25: Rain expected in Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar
