Rajasthan Weather: Multiple parts of Rajasthan are expected to receive rainfall and thunderstorms between June 2 and 4 due to the impact of a fresh western disturbance. According to the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur, the system is becoming active from Monday and its effects have already started showing from Sunday.

Rajasthan Weather: Yellow Alert Issued In 14 Districts On Monday

On Monday, June 2, a yellow alert has also been issued for rain and storm in more than 25 districts. These include Nagaur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, Banswara, Bundi, Kota, Baran, Jhalawar and Tonk.

Rajasthan IMD Forecast

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cloudy skies with strong winds reaching speeds of 50-60 km/h across many areas. The weather is expected to remain unstable over the next few days, with showers and thunderstorms likely in several districts.

Rajasthan Temperature

Although the state is currently in the Nautapa period—considered to be one of the hottest phases of the summer—the temperatures in most districts remained below normal on Saturday. Only Sriganganagar, Churu and Jaisalmer recorded above-normal temperatures. Sriganganagar reported the highest maximum at 44.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Churu at 43.6 Degrees Celsius and Jaisalmer at 42.7 Degrees Celsius. Other districts hovered around 40 Degrees Celsius or less.

Rajasthan: Rain Today

Light rain was reported at isolated places in the 24 hours ending Sunday morning. The highest rainfall was recorded in Kaman, Bharatpur, with 10 mm.

Despite the ongoing heatwave in some areas, the presence of clouds, light rain, and storms has reduced the severity of heat in several districts.
