The Sahitya Akademi, in collaboration with the BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute, on Sunday launched a book– Santvibhuti Pramukh Swami Maharaj– at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Ahmedabad. The book, written by Mahamahopadhyay Pujya Bhadreshdas Swami, presents a detailed account of the life, works and spiritual influence of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

The book highlights the profound impact of Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s service-driven leadership, which garnered global recognition for India’s rich heritage of Sanatan Dharma. Through seven chapters, it sheds light on his selfless contributions, emphasising values like compassion, service and faith, as well as his efforts to promote world peace and the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

The event began with a traditional welcome, followed by an address discussing the vision behind the book. Distinguished dignitaries lit a ceremonial lamp to mark the occasion. A special segment titled 'Pramukh Swami Maharaj: In My View, My Experience' featured Pujya Bhadreshdas Swami and other prominent figures sharing their personal experiences with Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

Padma Shri Gautam Bhai Patel, Madhav Ramanuj, Tarun Vijay and Srinivas Varkhedi were among the eminent scholars who hailed the book. They lauded the global contributions of Pramukh Swami Maharaj and expressed gratitude to the author for capturing his legacy. K Srinivas Rao, Secretary of Sahitya Akademi, also spoke on the significance of the publication.   

A short documentary on Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s life and global impact was screened, followed by the ceremonial release of the book by Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. In his address, Shekhawat paid tribute to Pramukh Swami Maharaj, acknowledging the impact of his service and spiritual contributions worldwide. 

“It is impossible to encapsulate Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s life in a book. His every moment was dedicated to the welfare of people. A bearer of infinite peace, simple, humble, divine, and a carrier of India’s eternal great culture, Pramukh Swami Maharaj was truly exceptional,” he said.

Bhagyesh Jha, President of Gujarat Sahitya Akademi, also hailed the book. "The book on Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s life is the essence of our scriptures. Salutations to the consciousness of the globally revered great soul, Pramukh Swami Maharaj. This is a priceless book on the life of Pramukh Swami Maharaj," he said.  

The event concluded with a vote of thanks.
