Amid rising cases of violence against women in the country, Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi launched a centralised platform on Thursday aimed at enhancing workplace safety for women by addressing and managing complaints of sexual harassment.
The SHe-Box portal represents a significant step forward in the government's efforts to protect women in the workplace, according to a statement from the ministry.
"The new SHe-Box portal serves as a centralized repository of information related to Internal Committees (ICs) and Local Committees (LCs) formed across the country, encompassing both the government and private sectors. It offers a common platform to file complaints, track their status and ensure a time-bound processing of complaint by ICs," the Ministry said in a press release.
The ministry indicated that the SHe-Box portal will act as a centraliSed repository for information on internal and local committees across both government and private sectors. It will enable women to file complaints, track their status, and ensure timely processing of their grievances. Additionally, the portal includes a designated nodal officer for real-time monitoring of complaints, ensuring a streamlined and effective redressal process.
The platform will provide single-window access for all women, regardless of their employment status—whether in the organised or unorganised sector, private or public—to register complaints related to sexual harassment. Women facing sexual harassment in the workplace can submit their complaints through this portal.
Once a complaint is submitted to SHe-Box, it is directly forwarded to the relevant authority responsible for taking action on the matter.

Go toSHe-Box website.
Click on "Register Your Complaint".
Choose "Register Complaint".
Select "Central Government" from the two available options.
Choose the Ministry and Department from the list provided and fill in all required details to proceed.
Add Required Details
Review the details and click "Register" to submit your complaint.
