Bengaluru Viral Video: A video posted by Instagram influencer Tanny Bhattacharjee has sparked a heated discussion online after it captured an elderly woman publicly shaming her for wearing shorts in Bengaluru. The clip features the woman shouting in her native language, admonishing Bhattacharjee with the words, "You should not wear all this and roam around," while repeatedly yelling in the street. The video is accompanied by a caption that reads, "Woman against Woman," challenging the elderly woman's actions with the question, "Shorts not allowed in Bengaluru?"

In the video, Bhattacharjee, a yoga instructor with over 120,000 Instagram followers, expressed her confusion over the incident, asking, "What do you think is the problem? I don't know what's happening." Her experience has led to polarising opinions, with some condemning the elderly woman's behaviour while others defend her perspective.

Bhattacharjee elaborated on the confrontation, stating, "We chose to ignore her and started walking towards the car park. Then she began to follow us, shouting in public and stopping other vehicles to show my legs to other men. I wasn't creating content; I was just on my way back to the car and she kept doing this simply because I wore shorts."

The man accompanying Bhattacharjee also shared his thoughts on Instagram, describing the incident as harassment. He wrote, "This woman chased us down the road despite our attempts to mind our own business. Opinions are subjective, but I completely disagree with what this elderly lady had to say. Shouting loudly and mocking someone in public over differing opinions is shameful."

In the comments section, another user recounted a similar experience from her past. She wrote, "This reminds me of an incident when I wore a skirt in my first year of college. An aunty stopped me, saying I couldn't wear a skirt in a residential area. I was scared back then, and I wish I had stood up for myself. This side of Bengaluru needs to change."
