Somvati Amavasya Special Trains: Railway Announces Two Services Between Haridwar And Lucknow; Check Schedule

For the upcoming Somvati Amavasya fair in Uttarakhand's Haridwar, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of special unreserved trains for the convenience of devotees from Lucknow.

According to information released by the Moradabad Division of Northern Railway, special trains will be run between Haridwar and Lucknow to accommodate the expected additional passenger traffic during the fair. This is expected to provide significant relief to passengers at various stations along the route, including Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Bareilly, among others.

Train details

From Haridwar to Lucknow: According to railway officials, train number 04326 Haridwar-Lucknow Special Unreserved Train will operate on June 15, 16, and 17.

The train will depart Haridwar at 6:35 PM and reach Hardoi at 1:52 AM via Laksar, Najibabad, Nagina, Dhampur, Seohara, Kanth, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, and Shahjahanpur. After a two-minute halt, the train will reach Lucknow via Balamau at 3:30 AM.

From Lucknow to Haridwar: Train number 04325 Lucknow-Haridwar Special Unreserved Train will operate on June 16, 17, and 18.

The train will depart from Lucknow at 5:30 AM and after passing through Balamau, will reach Hardoi at 7:02 AM. After a scheduled halt of two minutes, the train will reach Haridwar at 4:15 AM via Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Rampur, Moradabad, Kanth, Syohara, Dhampur, Nagina, Najibabad, and Laksar.

The railway administration states that on the occasion of Somvati Amavasya, a large number of devotees arrive in Haridwar to take a holy bath in the River Ganga and perform religious rituals.

This increases passenger rush on regular trains. The operation of special unreserved trains will provide additional travel options and help manage crowds.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Northern Railway, Mahesh Yadav, has appealed to passengers to follow the railway rules during the journey and cooperate in maintaining the order in the stations and trains.
