The CBI is now turning to scientific evidence and psychological autopsy to investigate the mysterious death of model and actor Twisha Sharma at her in-laws' house in Bhopal. Psychological autopsy is a forensic investigation process used to understand the state of mind of a person before their death (especially in suspicious cases).
The procedure is now centred around two diaries belonging to Twisha, which were recovered from her room after her death. In these diaries, Twisha recorded many aspects of her life, including her dreams for the future, career plans, and some personal wishes.
By analysing the diaries, the CBI is attempting to understand whether Twisha was under psychological pressure due to unfulfilled dreams or some other reason. The CBI will examine whether the diary pages contain any clues that might point to the cause of Twisha's death.
Suicide or conspiracy: What do the pages point towards?
For this purpose, the agency has formed a team of specialised officers to thoroughly study the diaries. The team will not only analyse the handwriting style and tone, but also compare the entries with Twisha's activities and circumstances before the incident to determine whether she was in a normal state of mind at the time of the incident or experiencing severe mental stress.
These diaries were seized by the police and were later handed over to the CBI. Agency officials believe that sometimes individuals record feelings or situations they are unable to share with family and friends in their diaries.
Therefore, diary pages could play a crucial role in understanding whether this case involved an accident, suicide, or conspiracy. Agency officials are likely to uncover important clues in solving the case by studying the diaries.
Twisha's husband and mother-in-law in jail
Twisha Sharma died on the night of May 12, following which her parents filed an FIR accusing her lawyer husband, Samarth Singh, and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, a retired Bhopal District Judge, of murder.
Both are currently incarcerated in Central Jail under two weeks' judicial custody. However, these two accused claim that Twisha committed suicide by hanging herself.
