Twisha Sharma's Father Calls Daughter's Death Murder, Alleges Cover-Up, Seeks Second Autopsy At AIIMS Delhi

The father of Twisha Sharma, who was found dead at her in-laws' home in Bhopal, has demanded a second post-mortem examination at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi to find out the real cause of her death, as he said the evidence and the first autopsy report do not match.

While speaking to reporters, Navnidhi Sharma alleged that her in-laws may have tried to hush up the matter. "We demand a second post-mortem be conducted immediately before the body decomposes. The body should be taken to AIIMS, Delhi," Navnidhi said.

Twisha's family said, "We are demanding an independent investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court. They are making allegations about drugs, but those allegations are false."

Refuting allegations of drug use by Twisha, Navnidhi said that his son-in-law is an actual drug addict. "If any drug-related case is to be made, it should be against their own son (Samarth Singh), because the whole world knows he is a major drug addict. I strongly suspect this was murder."

Twisha's father added, "After the FIR was filed, we demanded immediate arrest, but on the same day the arrest was to take place, anticipatory bail was granted. Frankly, the arrest should have been made without any suspicion."

"We're being told we're following the correct procedure and maintaining balance. But why is this word 'balance' being used?"

On May 12, Twisha (30) was found hanging at her husband Samarth Singh's home in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal.

According to police, Twisha and Samarth met through a dating app in 2024 and married in December 2025.

Twisha's chat with her friend has also surfaced, wherein she seemed distressed with her married life and revealed that she was suffering from anxiety and depression. The family has also alleged dowry demands by in-laws. They said that the in-laws were demanding Rs 50 lakh and a Fortuner.
