The government is planning to launch a unified RERA website to address concerns and facilitate homebuyers across the country. This initiative will help homebuyers gain a clearer understanding of the operations of builders and developers.
Through this platform, they will be able to easily and efficiently track the status of projects by builders and developers nationwide, access records of these entities and view complaints filed against them.
According to a senior official from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, cited by Jagran.com, there are currently separate RERA websites in different states, and the need for uniformity is critical. Gujarat's RERA has set a strong example, and it would be beneficial to model other RERA websites based on its approach.
For example, in Uttar Pradesh, the RERA website will feature details of projects by builders that fall under its jurisdiction. However, the same builders may also have projects running in other states, which could have different statuses.
Under the RERA law, it is mandatory for all projects to be registered with RERA, and these projects are regularly monitored for progress. By integrating data related to these projects, greater transparency can be ensured for the public.

Abhay Upadhyay, the head of the Federation of People’s Collective Effort (FPCE) organisation and a member of the Central Advisory Council of RERA, emphasized that this initiative is urgently needed. Information about all builders' and developers' projects should be accessible to everyone.
