Telugu actor Allu Arjun on Tuesday appeared before the Hyderabad police for questioning in connection with the stampede during the screening of his latest film, Pushpa 2, at Sandhya Theatre. The police had stated that the actor went to the screening even after he was denied the permission. The actor was summoned days after he was granted bail by the Telangana High Court. 

During the questioning by Hyderabad police, Allu Arjun denied any direct or indirect involvement in the tragic incident. The police reportedly asked the actor whether he had any information that the authorities had denied him permission to appear outside the theater during the premiership of the movie.

The police further asked him for details of the person who took the decision to proceed with the plan even after the state police instructed him to stay away from the site, reported NDTV. The police later asked him about the number of bouncers he had arranged for the show, reported the Hindustan Times. 

The police also sought information regarding the exact timing when the actor came to know about the stampede and the death of the woman. They also asked him if the Sandhya Theatre's management had asked him to not turn up during the show, India Today reported.

A stampede broke out at Sandhya Theatre during the screening of a movie when Arjun visited the auditorium on December 4. A woman was killed, and her eight-year-old son, Sri Tej, was critically injured in the stampede.

Allu Arjun was arrested by the Hyderabad police on December 13 and was later released the next day after the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail. The actor and his security team, along with the theater management, have been charged with homicide not amounting to murder by the city police. The Hyderabad police arrested the theatre owner, general manager, and security manager on December 8 as part of the probe.
