Baba Siddique Murder Case

Baba Siddique, a senior Maharashtra political leader and former MLA, was shot dead outside the Bandra office of his son and sitting MLA Zeeshan Siddique on October 12, during Dussehra festivities in the evening. Three assailants fired multiple shots at Siddique from a close range, leaving him dead on the scene. While two shooters were nabbed by the public, one Shivakumar remains at large.

Mumbai police arrested over 15 accused in the case so far, including high-profile criminals Gautam, Zeeshan Akhtar, and Shubham Lonkar - all linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Lawrence Bishnoi's gang later claimed responsibility for the attack and termed Siddique's closeness to Bollywood actor Salman Khan as one of the reasons behind his death.

Increasing Trend Of Threat Calls

A threat call to CM Yogi Adityanath comes amid a flurry of such calls to high-profile personalities in the country. The latest call came days after a person, who identified himself as an accomplice of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi threatened to kill independent MP Pappu Yadav, who recently made a remark on the gangster.

Indian airlines too remained marred with such calls on a daily basis for the last several weeks. These airline threats however turned out to be hoaxes till now.
