Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar gave his assent to the 'Jharkhand Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Special Exemption) Bill, 2025,' on Tuesday, which was passed by the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly during its monsoon session.
The primary objective of this bill is to promote industrial development and encourage investment in the state through Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The new law will make the process of setting up new enterprises simpler and more straightforward by providing exemptions from various approvals and inspections required for the establishment and operation of industries.

Additionally, all facilities related to licences and approvals will be made available on a single platform through a 'Single Window System'. This bill is seen as a significant initiative to boost the state's MSME sector, encourage the growth of small businesses, and attract investment.
