A 59-year-old Delhi Jal Board employee, who had been missing for two days, was found stabbed to death in a flat in the Begumpur police station area of Rohini district, Outer Delhi. The victim, identified as Suresh Kumar Rathi, was discovered in a blood-soaked state in the bathroom on Monday afternoon. Police have registered a murder case and launched an investigation.
Rohini District Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajiv Ranjan, stated that the Begumpur police station received a report of the murder at around 3:30 pm on Monday. The call was made by the deceased's son, Ankur.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the body of Suresh Kumar Rathi in the bathroom of the first-floor flat.
Ankur told the police that he lives with his parents in Pocket-16, Rohini Sector-24, and his father was employed with the Delhi Jal Board. The flat where the body was found also belonged to Suresh, who would occasionally visit it for maintenance.
According to the son, his father had not returned home for the past two days and was not answering his phone calls. Following this, Ankur went to the Begumpur flat in search of him. He found the door locked from the inside, used a key from home to open it, and discovered his father's body.

During the inspection, police found a deep stab wound on the right side of the deceased's neck. A crime team and forensic experts were called to the scene and have collected evidence from the site. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
Police are investigating the case from various angles to determine the motive for the murder and to find clues leading to the perpetrator. They are also gathering further information by questioning the deceased's son.
