DIY Hair Cleansers From The Kitchen

Gram Flour

Gram flour can be a great natural alternative to shampoo to wash your hair with. Also known as besan, gram flour helps to cleanse the hair thoroughly. All you need to do is make a solution with gram flour and water and apply it well to the hair and scalp. Keep it for 30 minutes and rinse the hair with water. This will remove the dirt and oil accumulated on the scalp and hair, giving you a soft and shiny look.

Coconut Milk

Just like coconut oil is good for dry hair, so is coconut milk. Add shredded coconut and water to a mixer and blend them together. Strain it to extract coconut milk. This helps moisturise and nourish the hair, making it stronger. Take coconut milk in a bowl and apply it to the hair. Keep it for an hour before rinsing. Apply this twice a week.

Aloe Vera

This is a great natural ingredient for skin and hair. Apply aloe vera gel to the hair and scalp. Keep it for an hour and wash it with water. Curd provides moisture to the hair and removes all scalp problems. Applying curd to the hair two to three times a week provides nourishment.

Amla Powder

Lastly, amla powder works excellently as a substitute for shampoo. It cures all hair-related issues and makes the hair strong, preventing hair loss. Take two to three tablespoons of amla powder and mix it with water or rose water. Apply the paste to the hair and wash after an hour. This will help remove all the dirt, making the hair soft and shiny.
