THE WORLD is all set to witness the very first Solar Eclipse of the year 2023 today. Also being referred to as a 'Rare Hybrid Solar Eclipse'or 'Ningaloo Eclipse', this solar eclipse will be visible from various parts of the world. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun and thereby obscures the view of the Sun from a small part of the Earth, totally or partially. This surya grahan will coincide with Vaishakha Amavasya or the new moon day of the Hindu calendar.

What Is A Hybrid Solar Eclipse?

The Hybrid Solar Eclipse is an astronomical event that only takes place when the moon moves in front of the sun, obscuring all of the sun's light and preventing it from reaching the Earth. During this time, the full moon casts a shadow across the whole surface of the planet, while some regions of the Earth that are in its vicinity experience darkness.
