Maharashtra Fire Blast: At least six people were killed after a massive fire, led by an explosion, engulfed a pharmaceutical company in Raigad district on Friday. The explosion occurred around 10:30 AM at Blue Jet Healthcare Company in the Mahad MIDC area. Several workers were inside the factory at the time when the explosion occurred.

Soon after the tragedy happened police and fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and carried out the search operation. A team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has also been roped in. 

In another similar incident, four people received burn injuries in an LPG cylinder blast in a house in west Kamal Vihar in Delhi’s Karawal Nagar on Friday. The police said that the cause of the fire and explosion is being ascertained.

"We got information about 7.30 pm about the explosion. Three fire tenders were pressed into the service. Four persons were injured. They were rushed to a nearby hospital," a Delhi Fire Service official was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
