A mumbai student, studying in Germany, jumped to death from 45th floor at Goregaon East on Monday after he was not allowed to board flight to Germany as he couldn’t produce physical copy of his residence permit, Times of India reported, quoting police.  

According to the information provided by the police, the 22-year-old man took an auto to a highrise at Goregaon East and jumped to death from the 45th floor, police said. The reason behind the suicide could  not be ascertained as there was no suicide note was found at location. Police is investigating whether the man was tensed about being denied entry into the flight.

The youth came to visit his family as he was in fourth year of engineering in Germany. 

The airline denied boarding permission to the youth after he failed to produce har copy of his residence permit at the airport on Monday. The man showed his residence copy in soft version or phone but it was nor accepted by the authorities at the airport. It is necessary for students in Germany to have residence permit. 

The family came to drop him off, left for home as he did not disclose it to the family that he was denied permission to board the plane. He took an autorickshaw and went to Goregaon East where his family owned a vacant flat in a highrise.

He asked auto driver to wait outside the highrise building till he fetched change to pay for the fare. But, he did not come back and later staff at the building found that he jumped from the 45th floor.

The man was pronounced dead after Aarey colony policed took him to hospital as soon as they received information.
