Mumbai Metro Update: Mumbai Metro Line 4, or the Green Line, is expected to begin trial runs on Monday, September 22. It is a 32.3 km route that connects key areas like Wadala, Kasarvadavali, and Gaimukh. While the entire stretch has not been completed, a part of the line connecting Cadbury Junction and Gaimukh (a 10.5-kilometre stretch) is now ready for the trial run.

Manpada
Tikuji-ni-Wadi

Vijay Garden
Kasarvadavali

L&T Gets Bid For Green Line
Indian multi-national company, Larsen and Toubro (L&T), has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Mumbai Metropolitan Development Authority (MMRDA) for the CA-234. The bid deals with the supply of goods, which will be used in Mumbai Metro Lines 4 and 4A.
Mumbai Metro Line 4, also called the Green Line, is currently under construction and will connect Wadala, Kasarvadavali, and Gaimukh. The MMRDA had invited the tender in February 2024 for Rs 4279.49 crores. The tender was valid for 3723 days. By November, only two firms had submitted their final bids- L&T for Rs 4788 crore and NCC Limited for Rs 5115 crore.
The L&T quotation was closer to the tender of the MMRDA. As a result, the MMRDA chose to accept the final bid from L&T.
