Mumbai News: Four Mumbai police officers have been suspended after CCTV footage appeared to show them planting drugs on a man during a raid. Among those suspended are a police sub-inspector and three constables from the Khar police station's Anti-Terror Cell, as confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone XI) Rajtilak Roshan.
The incident took place on Friday evening in the Kalina area, where the officers detained a man named Daniel. According to reports, the CCTV footage allegedly captures two officers patting down the man, while two others supervise the operation. At one point, one of the officers appears to slip an item into the suspect's hip pocket, according to PTI.

DCP Roshan stated that disciplinary action was taken against the four officers for not adhering to proper procedures and for their questionable actions captured on video. He noted that they had arrived at the site based on drug-related information, but their behaviour was clearly visible in the footage.
An associate of Daniel suggested that he was targeted due to a dispute involving a builder over the land where the incident occurred. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Meanwhile in a separate incident, An elderly man, Ashraf Munyar, was repeatedly slapped and abused by fellow passengers on the Dhule Express in Maharashtra after they suspected him of carrying beef. Despite the distressing scene, dozens of onlookers did nothing to help. The men interrogated Mr Munyar, who explained he was taking buffalo meat for his daughter's family in Malegaon. The attackers, believing it might be beef, recorded the incident and threatened to test the meat. The Railway Police have registered an FIR and identified two suspects from Dhule. Jitendra Awhad of NCP condemned the attack, criticising the deteriorating law and order situation.
