Mumbai Road Accident: A woman passenger and a taxi driver were killed when a speeding car hit a black-and-yellow cab on a flyover in the Dadar area of Mumbai on Saturday, police said. Police nabbed a 21-year-old man who was driving the car from the scene. According to the official, he was driving recklessly and negligently.
Rekha Parmar (55), a passenger, and the cab driver were among the two people who died.
According to a police officer, the incident occurred on Elphinstone Bridge about 1:15 PM as Priyanshu Bandre (21) was driving his car towards Dadar railway station.
Police claim that Bandre lost control of the vehicle, leading it to turn from the bridge's northbound lane to its southbound lane and strike the taxi.
According to the official, police have filed a complaint against Bandre, and more inquiries are underway.

In another incident, a woman died after falling off a scooter that lost balance owing to a pothole on a service road beside a national highway in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, police said.
Rani Rastogi, a Laharpur Kotwali native, was riding pillion on her son Manish's bike, according to reports.
Police claim that the scooter lost balance when the front tire became lodged in a pothole in the road. Rani, who was in her early 50s, died instantly after suffering a serious head injury after falling from the bike.
Police arrived at the location after learning of the occurrence and transported the body for a post-mortem.
