TISS Mumbai Student Death: A student of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Mumbai was found dead at his flat in Chembur. The body of 29-year-old Anurag Jaiswal was discovered at his rented accommodation by his roommates on Saturday morning.
Earlier, on Friday night Jaiswal had partied in Vashi in Navi Mumbai. When he did not wake up the next day, Jaiswal's friends rushed him to the hospital. The doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Jaiswal was a first year student of a Human Resource programmed at TISS Mumbai. The institute expressed grief at his demise in a statement issued on its X handle, "It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing away of Anurag Jaiswal, first year student of HRM&LR of TISS Mumbai. We are withAnurag’s family at this heartbreaking time and our thoughts and prayers will always be with the Anurag's family."
A native of Lucknow, Jaiswal was partying in Vashi where over 100 students were present. He had consumed alcohol in a large amount, according to a report by the NDTV.

The Chembur police station official, cited by news agency PTI, said a case of accidental death has been registered as there was no information of ragging or any other foul play. The police was awaiting the post mortem report to ascertain the cause of death.
