Mumbai Aqua Line 3: In a major move to ease pedestrian movement around the upcoming Mumbai Aqua Line 3 metro station, the administration started the construction of a new underpass. The new underground pathway will directly link the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) subway at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to the upcoming Aqua Line 3 Metro at the CSMT Station.

The construction work of the underpass is currently underway and progressing rapidly to nearly completion, as per a Midday report. The stretch will soon be open for use, as preparations begin for the final opening of the Metro Line 3 corridor, which is expected by December 2025.

A pathway from the new CSMT Metro station leads directly to the existing BMC subway, offering seamless underground connectivity. This is one of the multiple entry and exit points of the station and will provide direct access to the main pedestrian subway under BMC," an official said.
