Navi Mumbai is all set to get its first metro line, which will span 11.1 kilometres. Reportedly, the Metro Line 1 will connect Belapur and Pendhar. While the exact date for the inauguration of the metro is still not confirmed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate it in October.

Earlier on June 21, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) received the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) certificate for the commencement of commercial operation between the Central Park and Belapur stations.

Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 - All Metro Stations

Reportedly, the metro line will have over 10 stations. The names of the metro stations are mentioned below:

- Sector-7 Bela-pur

- Belapur

- Science Park

- Sector 11 Kharghar

- Utsav Chowk

- Central Park

- Sector 14 Kharghar

- Sector 34 Kharghar

- Petha-pada

- Pendhar Terminal

- Panch-nand

Navi Mumbai Metro Line- Fare Of Metro Stations

The minimum fare (Rs 10)will be charged for commuters travelling up to 2 km. For commuters who will be travelling beyond 10 km will have to pay maximum fare i.e, Rs 40.

The fare of the Navi Metro Line-1 has been distributed like this:

Rs 10- 0-2 km

Rs 15- 2-4 km

Rs 20- 4-6 km

Rs 25- 6-8 km

Rs 30- 8-10 km

Rs 40- Beyond 10 km

According to some media reports, CIDCO took almost 12 years to make this 11 km stretched metro station. It received Rs 500 crore credit from the ICICI Bank to meet its budget for the project.
