Pune News: A 28-year-old junior doctor working at Ruby Hall Clinic was found dead at his rented accommodation near Dhole Patil Road early Monday. Police suspect it to be a case of suicide.
The deceased has been identified as Dr Shyam Vohra. He was living with a roommate, who was reportedly on hospital duty when the incident occurred. Police officials said the body was discovered in the early hours of Monday, following which a team reached the location and began a preliminary inquiry.
Dr Vohra’s body has been sent to Sassoon General Hospital for a postmortem. Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) at the Koregaon Park Police Station.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2), Smartana Patil, confirmed that a handwritten note was found in the room. According to the police, the note included personal details like the doctor’s mobile phone password and UPI PIN.

Senior Police Inspector Sunil Thopate said an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death. While no foul play is suspected at this point, police are examining all aspects as part of the routine procedure.
