Thane Murder Case: A man was arrested for allegedly killing his wife in Thane’s Bhiwandi city in Maharashtra. He killed the woman brutally after severing her head. The case came to light after a severed head of a woman was found near the Idgah complex in Bhiwandi city.
The deceased, whose severed head was found, appeared to be around 25 to 28 years old. The severed head has been sent to the district hospital for post-mortem, Bhoiwada police said.

Police initiated an inquiry after the severed head of the woman was found. The probe led to the arrest of the husband of the deceased. According to an NDTV report, the woman was allegedly killed by her husband. Her body was chopped into several parts in an attempt to cover up the crime.
Domestic Violence Led To Murder
Media reports suggested that a domestic dispute might have led to the brutal murer of the woman. However, the exact motive behind the murder is yet to be probed.

They frequently quarrel with each other at home. Police suspected that during one such fight that the husband might have murdered the woman and dumped the remains of her body. A police search was underway to recover the remaining body parts of the woman. After registering a murder case, the police, with the help of dog squads, launched a search to trace the remains.
Woman, Girl Found Dead In Water-Filled Pit
In another incident, the bodies of a woman and a girl, aged around three years, were found in a water-filled pit in Thane city of Maharashtra on Tuesday. Yasin Tadvi, head of Thane Disaster Management Cell, said, "We received information about the incident around 6.20 pm. On reaching the site, our teams found the bodies of a woman, approximately 35 years old, and a girl floating in a 2.5 feet deep pit at a farm."
