Maintaining good energies in our living spaces is important, according to the classic Indian architectural and design method known as Vastu Shastra. It implies that the way items are arranged may have a significant effect on our lives, influencing everything from our careers and relationships to our general well-being and health.
Check out the list of 7 paintings or showpieces that you must not have in your home to eradicate negativity.
7 Paintings Or Showpieces You Must Not Have In Your Home
1. Broken Or Damaged Artwork
Do your shelves have any damaged or cracked showpieces? Damaged objects are said to hold evil energy and might bring misfortune according to Vastu. Such items must be taken out of your house and replaced with whole, colourful focal pieces that exude optimism.
2. Wildlife Images
Images of aggressive or fierce animals, such as screaming tigers or lions, may look impressive, but they might disturb the peace in your house. Vastu advises against using such imagery since it might exacerbate stress and arguments within the family. Rather, use calm and placid animal representations that represent love and harmony, such as a couple of swans or content dolphins.
3. Images Of Sorrow
Images that show sadness, violence, or other upsetting scenes have no place in a Vastu-compliant house. These pictures have the power to release negative energy, which can exacerbate stress and anxiety. Rather, choose art that inspires happiness, optimism, and tranquilly. Harmonious energies can be drawn in and the mood elevated by artwork with blossoming flowers, cheery family pictures, or lovely landscapes.
4. Portrait Of A Deceased Or Angry Person
While it's normal to wish to preserve memories, photos of departed family members or anybody who may have experienced unresolved grief or anger during their lifetime might draw negative energy.

5. Snakes
Perhaps in the wild, snakes and scorpions have a place, but not in your interior design. It's believed that pictures or exhibits of these animals draw bad luck and financial troubles. Replace them with images of development and success, such as a laughing Buddha or a jug filled to the brim with cash.
6. Showpieces Cluttering Shelves
The free flow of energy in your house may be impeded by an excessive number of showpieces clogging your shelves. Reduce the number to the ones that are truly important to you.

7. Placing Religious Artefacts Anywhere
Idols or religious images have great spiritual significance, but their placement must be done according to Vastu principles. It is considered disrespectful to place idols or pictures of deities in the bedroom or next to the bathroom. For religious artefacts, it is better to have a separate puja room or a holy area where the good energies can flow freely.
