The Puranas also describe the virtues of Kartik month, highlighting the significance of devotion and worship during this month. A person who lights a lamp in a temple, even briefly, is said to have their sins erased. Observing the month with austerity, such as eating once a day, brings fame, power, and heroism. Reciting the Bhagavad Gita and worshipping Lord Damodara with devotion yield eternal benefits. The offering of a lamp during Kartik is considered the most superior, showcasing the value of selfless acts and devotion in this sacred month.

The Deep Daan ritual during Kartik Maas is dedicated to honouring Lord Krishna, particularly in His Damodara form. Deep Daan Vidhi During Kartik Maas To worship Yashoda Damodar

To worship Lord Yashoda Damodar, light a ghee lamp in the evening, symbolising devotion and surrender. Recite the Damodarashtam prayer while offering the lamp with a specific ritual: 4 rounds at His Lotus feet, 2 at His navel, 3 at His face, and 7 rounds around His entire body, embracing the divine with love and reverence.
