Hanuman Garhi Mandir Ayodhya: The sacred city of Ayodhya is home to the significant Hindu temple, Hanuman Garhi. Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, it's one of the most revered and well-known temples in the sacred Ayodhya city. Perched atop a hill, the temple is roughly 1.5 kilometres from the Ram Janmabhoomi location, which is thought to be the birthplace of Lord Rama. Hanuman Garhi Mandir Ayodhya: History And Facts About This Sacred Temple 

- The temple was allegedly established by Lord Hanuman himself, based on local folklore. It is thought that Lord Hanuman rested at this temple while searching for Goddess Sita, who had been kidnapped by Ravana.

- There are steps leading up to the main temple within the complex, which is encircled by a wall of defence. Throughout the complex, there are several tiny shrines and temples devoted to different gods, all of which are mostly in the North Indian architectural style. According to legend, Nawab of Awadh constructed the main temple in the eighteenth century.

- Lord Hanuman is the primary deity of the temple and is housed in the garbha griha, or sanctum sanctorum. Lord Hanuman's idol depicts him sitting with his right hand uplifted to bless the devotees.

- Hanuman Garhi is thought to have been the residence of Lord Hanuman thousands of years ago. He stayed here to guard Ramkot, also known as Ram Janmabhoomi. It is customary to first visit the Hanuman Garhi shrine before proceeding to the temple of Lord Rama. 

- A statue of Mother Anjani with Bal Hanuman seated on her lap may be seen at the main temple.
