Radha Kund Snan 2025 falls on the sacred day of Ahoi Ashtami. This sacred occasion falls on the Ashtami tithi of Krishna Paksha in the Hindu month of Kartik. Newly married couples, especially those who wish for children, seek the divine blessings of Goddess Radha Rani on this occasion. According to the traditional customs, the couples take a sacred dip in Radha Kund on this occasion, as according to Hindu belief, couples who bathe in the sacred waters of Radha Kund on the evening of Bahula Ashtami are blessed with the gift of parenthood. Radha Kund Snan 2025: Significance
Radha Kunda located in Goverdhan is a highly revered place for Gaudiya Vaishnavas because of its strong association with Radharani. This lake is on the parikrama road by Govardhana Hill, an 11 KM stretch shaped like a peacock. Devotees believe that Radha Kunda and Syamakunda look like the peacock's eyes, increasing their spiritual value.
Radha Kunda is venerated all over Mathura and Krishna’s land, but holds a lot of significance of Ahoi Ashtami. According to the Hindu customs, it is believed that couples who bathe in the lake at midnight with devotion will be blessed with progeny, especially a son. Pilgrims visit the sacred Radha Kund around noon, and fairs and celebrations go on into the afternoon. The Radha Kund snan begins at midnight and goes until dawn.

Radha Kund Snan 2025: Story
Radha Kunda's story begins after Krishna defeated Aristasura, a demon disguised as a bull. Since the bull is a symbol of dharma, the Gopikas felt Krishna had done something wrong. Radharani told him he needed to purify himself by bathing in the holy waters of all the sacred rivers.
Guided by Radharani, Krishna gathered water from all sacred rivers at one place. He then stamped his lotus foot on the ground, and Syama-Kunda appeared. After this, Radharani used her bangles to dig out another Kunda. The sacred rivers asked to flow into it, and that's how Radha Kunda came to be, circled by eight Kunjas named after Radharani’s Sakhis.
About 5,000 years after that, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu went to Vrindavana and found these holy Kundas. In the middle of Radha Kunda is Kankanakunda, which is said to be the first pond Radharani made with her bangles. People have long believed that Radha Kunda came into being at midnight on the eighth day of Krishna Paksha in Kartik.
Radha Kund Snan 2025: Rituals
Bathing in Radha Kunda holds special significance on Ahoi Ashtami. Devotees offer prasadam, garlands, and pumpkins to the sacred lake as a mark of devotion. At midnight, they take a sacred dip first in Radha Kunda and then in Syama Kunda, seeking blessings from Shri Radha Rani.
