- On the night of Sharad Purnima, it is customary to prepare kheer and place it in an open silver vessel facing the moon. The kheer is later consumed as prashad, symbolising the absorption of divine energy.

- Lighting ghee lamps is an important practice on Sharad Purnima, and many devotees choose to illuminate up to 100 lamps around their home. The soft glow represents prosperity, purity, and divine protection. These lights not only brighten the surroundings but also symbolically invite positivity and happiness into the household.
