Android 14, which is the successor of the current Android 13 software update, has become the subject of a lot of speculation. Android 14, which was announced at Google’s IO 2023 developer event, was expected to be introduced this month, but now it seems that Google has delayed the source code release of the next-generation Android 14 to next month, and it may be introduced along with the Pixel 8 series at the event.

According to Mishaal Rahman, Google has delayed the release of the Android 14 source code. “The source code release of Android 14 has now been pushed back to next month. This decision appears to have been made very late, as even OEMs expected the release to be today. OEMs have been informed that the vulnerabilities detailed in the Android 14 Security Release Notes will be published on October 4, 2023, which could be the new release date,” he said in a post on X.
