Apple 2023 iPad Launch Expectations: New Generation iPads Could Launch On October 17; Leaks About Apple's Upcoming Tablets

Apple launched the iPhone 15 series in September this year. As the models continue to make waves in the tech industry, it seems the tech giant is preparing to replicate the same in the tablet world in 2023. We say this because, according to a Supercharged report, Apple may introduce its next iPad lineup in a few days.

Citing sources, the outlet claimed the Cupertino-based firm is planning a briefing with select media professionals "later this week," which could have a special focus on new iPad models. For the unversed, the company updated its tablet catalogue in October last year with iPad Pro (M2 edition) and the overhauled iPad 10th Generation. The new series could offer upgrades to the current iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad 10th Gen.

As per the report, Apple's announcement could happen as early as October 17. The models could offer minor upgrades in the specs sheet with faster and more power-optimised chips. The new iPad Air may sport an M2 processor (a jump from M1), and the iPad mini could get an A16 Bionic CPU.

Apple is reportedly working to address the jelly scrolling issue on the current mini models that hampers the smooth scrolling experience within the UI. Supercharged noted the announcement could be made on Apple's official website (likely via a press release) and YouTube handle. But a full-fledged tech event is highly unlikely.

On a related note, the company announced its festive offer today on its current iPad models. Buyers can get up to Rs 5,000 discount on iPad Pro (11-inch and 12.9-inch) and iPad Air models via bank HDFC Bank Credit Card. Up to Rs 4,000 off on iPad 10th Gen can be redeemed via bank offers.
