Apple has officially started rolling out the iOS 16.6, iPadOS 16.6 for the compatible iPhones and iPads with bug fixes. The new update fixes the vulnerabilities which were impacting Apple's Neural Engine, and kernel-level patches, which may have brought some security concerns to the users. Not only that, the company has also started rolling out macOS 13.5, watchOS 9.6, and tvOS 16.6 updates with required bug fixes.

How To Download iOS 16.6, iPadOS 16.6

The all-new iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6 is available for all eligible devices and can be downloaded by going to Settings, and then the General section. From there, the user is required to choose the Software Update and then download the update. After tapping on install and follow the prompts.

iOS 16.6 Major Changes:

The Neural Engine, which handles machine learning and natural language processing, has undergone certain changes thanks to the corporation. The most recent update stops dangerous programmes from running on the system. Along with other improvements, Find My App now prevents the sharing of private location data with unauthorised programmes.

The new update also includes a patch for various WebKit bugs, which is the open-source browser engine that powers Safari. The new fix also stops malicious code execution and browsers from sharing sensitive information.

Apple has also urged users to download the latest software update to prevent possible security threats from the users.

MacOS 13.5 Update Major Changes:

The new MacOS 13.5, which the tech giant also unveiled, makes significant security-related updates. With the Voice Memos programme, it will stop unauthorised access to the user's sensitive data.
